Am I pissed? You bet. I have no outstanding debts and my financial house is in pristine order, but I am getting these annoying phone messages two and three times a day. Since harassment seems to be the choice of procedure with this corporate bully and appears to be a legal maneuver, why not indulge in said practice in retaliatory fashion? I have recorded their grating message and call back and replay it for them at every opportunity. It drives them mad. If you would like to give them a taste of their own medicine, call them at their toll free numbers and show them that what is good for the goose is also good for the gander.

If you tell them not to call you Federal law requires that they stop calling you for something like 60 days under the Fair Credit and Reporting Act. I think the Federal Trace Commission takes complaints about this, and you should just file a complaint with them. Believe me, NCO does not want these complaints -- it means a lot of hassles for them.
